Battle In Bushnel

On Saturday, January 7th, at least six members attended the 32nd Reenactment of Dade’s Battle in Bushnell under cloudy, but otherwise great weather for photography. Arriving early, it gave the group ample time to roam freely. There were so many great opportunities to photograph the re-enactors and enjoy the many historical stories and handed down skills that were being shown for our benefit at the exhibits. Other than the battlefield itself, there were at least four main areas of interest: the Seminole Camp, Soldiers Camp, Sutlers & Exhibits area and the Visitor Center. As usual, all the re-enactors were more than helpful and willing to pose for photographs or just have a conversation. Keep this place in mind as an annual outing. The photographic opportunities are exceptional and the historical knowledge wonderful.
