Annual Scavenger Hunt 2014

Twenty members of the Chasco Camera Club turned out for the 2014 Annual Scavenger Hunt Shoot on March 11th. For our twelfth annual Scavenger Hunt we returned to the colorful Sponge Docks of Tarpon Springs. Cooperation by the weather made it a great day for shooting as the members traversed the area, seeking out their eight assigned subjects. Arriving before the crowd of sightseers made for an easier time of getting those “Award Winning" photos. And of course, a delicious lunch at Hella’s was a reward for an interesting day of socializing and sharing their photo experiences during the morning shoot. As the number of people visiting Tarpon Springs increased, the variety of scenes also increased giving us more interesting opportunities. To take advantage of the event many brought a second camera to record the local flavor for  future competitions. The final result was a gathering of members at the Hudson Library on March 20th  where the participants chose their best  eight photos to be judged by all attending members. A total of almost 500 images were taken but only 160 were entered and judged. Refreshments were supplied by the members to complete another successful well planned Shoot by the Scavenger Committee and as it was meant to be…A Fun Day.
