Architectural Workshop - Downtown Tampa - March 15, 2016
Doug and Cheri Halstead organized a workshop which was guided and taught by our member, Joe Constantino. He enjoys and specializes in Architectural Photography and was very willing to share his techniques. Participants took lots of shots and will be able to share them, after some home processing, at our follow-up meeting on April 5th at the Hudson library. Joe will critique and lead the group there in offerring constructive feedback.

reflections and shapes like the steps shown here create interest

We thank Joe, Doug and Cheri for organizing this very educational field trip, and we look forward to sharing our results on Tuesday April 5th at the Hudson library.

Anclote Gulf Park Mentoring Outing
Our new club Vice President, Doug Halstead, organized our first outing of 2016. He invited club members Nancy and Bill Lester to show us how to manage natural sun light in portrait shooting and Cheri Halstead to guide us on wildlife photography.
Nancy and Bill Lester provided practical tips and information on how to manage sun light when photographing subjects outside and/or in nature. They brought along their field equipment and demonstrated its use in a way that was clear and easy to understand even for brand new photographers.

Club Member Cheri Halstead, a very accomplished wildlife photographer who competes successfully internationally, taught us how to set up our equipment, locate subjects, and capture them at their best with proper camera settings. We had some sightings in the wading water, but then she located a nearby nest of Ospreys and the fun began. One member of the mating pair brought in a fish catch for lunch and Cheri showed us how to position and capture the ensuing feast.
