This gorilla was on a rock looking as though he didn’t want to be disturbed and in my opinion he was pondering life. Their central African forests are disappearing which puts them at risk of extinction.
I am an observer of nature with a fascination of geology, topography and clouds. Growing up with black and white film cameras, I like the simplicity of various shapes, forms and textures at play between light and shadow in black and white photography. As a photographer my goal is to impart a feeling or an emotion for the viewer to get a sense of nature through my eyes and my lens.

Chasco Camera Club Web Site Wins Honorable Mention
Club, Council, & Chapter Web Site Contest
Chasco Camera Club is proud to announce a Fourth Place finish with its first ever entry into the PSA (Photographic Society of America) web site contest. Our club was in Group B (75 members or fewer). There were twenty one clubs competing in that category and to place 4th and be awarded an Honorable Mention is a real honor for our club. Three judges used 67 different criteria with points awarded for each criteria. We received spreadsheets from PSA with the results for each catagory and each of the 3 judges so we now have great insight into what we need to do next year to finish in the top the three. Of course we will shoot for number one but the competition is tough.
